I knew I needed to take Evelyn's photos celebrating her ninth month, and that I was running low on time left to do it, so what better time than now. I needed two days and Jeremy's help to get it accomplished, but I was done. Yes she is lovely and adorable, but she is also on the run and doesn't care to look at you unless you are daddy. You may notice her attention is elsewhere. That would be daddy trying to keep her still for longer than two seconds so mommy could snap a photo. I am back to using my doorway with fabric backdrops. The main reason for that is because my beadboard wall has a buffet table in front of it so I can no longer us it. The other reason, she is getting bigger and I am in need of more vertical space. I used one of my favorite backdrops and found the perfect outfit to match. The basket was my failed attempt at getting her to stay still. By giving her something to latch onto other than me, I figured I would be able to take the photos myself. I was however wrong and that is why it took me two days. The last photos shown with her and her toy cake were a tad overly exposed (I was standing up and I forgot to adjust my flash accordingly). I decided to work a little on my editing and turned down the contrast to compensate for her glaring face. I rarely do this but in this case it almost looks like her head is glowing, which is a nice "mistake" effect.
