Start 52 Weeks of Blogging: Week 1 | St. Patrick's Day

It has officially been one year since I bought my camera, Spring Break last year, and as a way to "celebrate" I have decided to do something bold. For the next 52 weeks I will be posting one blog a week. Yes 52 weeks of blogs, its sounds a little overwhelming and it may be once I get started, but I figured why not! It will give me something productive to do and something to look forward to every week. I hope that through this I will be getting input and advice from my followers and that this will be a great experience for both them and myself. So comments will be welcome. All 52 of the weeks blogs are assigned. I thought about what I would be doing at that time and what time of year it was (holidays for example) for most of the posts but some of them are informational and some will be based on a theme.

This first week starts on St. Patrick's Day so I thought I would go with green. And since I am just starting this I figured I could go small, macro that is. I used my telephoto lens to capture water droplets on one of my succulent plants (don't ask me what kind it is because I have no idea I just water it), which is potted in a ceramic bowl I made in college.

Did not notice when I took the photo, but you can see reflections in the water droplets which I think is pretty cool.

Since the main focus was on the water droplets the rest of the succulent is out of focus. It gives greater depth, foreground/background and perspective, which only brings the the water more.
